"I stayed at the Hotel Colorado for a long weekend over Halloween, and I was very happy with my time there. It's a great hotel with a ton of charm and history. The staff were all super friendly, and the room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. I did ask for a quiet room at check-in and was given one on the third floor facing the interior courtyard. While you could hear chatter by the fire pits, it subsided around 11pm each night. Interior noise was at a minimum. The radiators did create some noise throughout the night, but this is a 100+ year old property so some squeaks, groans, and whistles were expected. The bathroom was tight, but there was a separate sitting area just outside the bathroom door that you could place additional toiletries on. The bed and pillows were comfy, and the room was spacious with high ceilings and a lot of natural light (plenty of lamps too). Parking was never an issue, the food at the restaurant was great and I never had a wait.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. If you're expecting a thoroughly modern hotel with all the accoutrements, I would probably look elsewhere. However, if you want charm and history, this is the place to stay. I never felt I compromised comfort or convenience for charm though. It is a perfectly lovely and comfortable place to stay."
