"Has a lot of amenities. There’s a bar, pool, souvenir shop, gym, and two restaurants. However, the front desk just checks you in and you have to figure your way around the hotel or ask. The property is well kept. "

"Be sure to read this review! I went ahead and gave it five stars to hopefully balance out the poor reviews it had already received. This property was absolutely fantastic! The room was plenty big enough and had a full kitchen and refrigerator. The only two things that I can say is you need to look for the property as condominio Urban flats. That is the only way you will find this place. I think as long as you know this hopefully you won't need much contact from the management company. The place looks brand new and I can't really say enough about it!asreceived.alrreceived."

"This was my second stay at Hotel Villa Los Candiles, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The hotel is wonderfully quiet, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is incredibly comfortable, I slept like a rock!
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Olga and Arlen in the restaurant are exceptional. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine effort to make every guest feel at home is something you rarely find. They made each meal feel special and personal.
I came back because of how great my first stay was and this visit just confirmed it: Villa Los Candiles is a true gem. I’ll definitely return again."

"I'm a native English speaker, but some of the hotel staff spoke limited English. I tried to learn as much as I could before my trip, and it was really helpful! I was able to communicate a bit with the staff. Everyone was friendly and took good care of my wife and me. The property was well maintained, and the pool was refreshing, especially considering how hot it was; it was not heated.
The breakfast and coffee in the mornings were great, and the hotel was centrally located near stores and restaurants. We also used DiDi to have food delivered, and we had no issues with that service.
My only concern was being charged an extra $20 per day. When I booked the hotel, I indicated that there was one traveler, not two, but I didn't think that would be a problem. However, the staff informed me it would cost extra when they saw me with my wife. There was no mention of this additional charge on the Hotels.com site, so I'm not sure if this is a standard practice in Costa Rica or varies by hotel."
