May is a beautiful time to visit with everything in bloom both on the property and surrounding countryside. We stayed four nights as a much needed getaway and would definitely return.”

“The kitchen is well-provisioned, with a drip coffee maker and a pod system. The host even supplied multiple coffee pods. The living/dining area has plenty of comfortable seating, and the large-screen TV and internet work just fine. There is a welcome binder that explains how to get to the clothes washer and dryer in the basement. Plenty of restaurant choices within 1 and 2 miles. I look forward to return!”

“We liked both the location and the property! House was easy to locate, with good off-street parking. Easy access to nearby stores and restaurants. House has roomy bedrooms, kitchen, living room. “Check in was very easy. Wi-Fi access was very easy with no password! I love the double bathtub. utensils in the kitchen are scarce no cutting knives. The creamer for the coffee was old and clumpy.”

Unfortunately, the building is in a state of disrepair, there appeared to be an active leak in the ceiling and I could only bring myself to stay one night, despite having booked a week-long stay. I had to scramble for another place. (very stressful with kids) because I woke up after the first night with bits of the ceiling material stuck to my forearm. “This is a very old Victorian style house. It has noisy steam heat; barely working locks (some don't work at all), and sketchy electrical. We booked 2br/2ba, which got us the 2nd and 3rd floors (host lives on the 1st floor). Furnishings are old; kitchens are functional, but that's it. Water pressure was VERY low. “This place was amazing. The perfect place to end our trip. The property was so peaceful and relaxing. My husband loves cabins so it made it extra special to him.”

“We decided to book this as our children had a basketball tournament at Spookynook. We had a total of 15 people staying Friday -Sunday and we couldn't have asked for a better setup. Plenty of room and the amenities were top-notch. The boys appreciated being able to use the hot tub after a day of playing several games. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.
