"We were so disappointed with this hotel. It is NOT near Aalen. It needs so much work. It looks like it might have been busy at some point but it feels like a ghost hotel. Our room had one small comforter. No towels. No glasses. 2 pillows. A refrigerator that did not work. The washer dryer area for the hotel is dirty and pathetic. "Didn’t like the check-in process with no staff and available and having to use WhatsApp to communicate. Upon check-in our air conditioning unit was not working during a heat wave. We were told to wait it out. We waited eight hours and it never kicked in. We were offered another room, but it would only be available for a portion of our stay. After several hours we decided to call Expedia to book another hotel. Expedia called the owner of Toploft. The room he previously offered was now available for the duration of our entire trip plus it had functioning AC. At 11 PM we had to pack up our belongings and move across the street to another unit. Extremely inconvenient. If you’re a tourist, this isn’t the property for you because the area is a far distance from main tourist locations. "

"Hotel is in a perfect location, just walking distance from old town. Comfort double room is a spacious room and the breakfast is great. This is a good choice for a hotel in charming Dinkelsbuhl. Check in was a breeze, staff is friendly and restaurant options in the area are a lot!"
