It’s a simple hotel in an old property. You can tell they make an effort to keep it as well-maintained as possible in terms of the common areas and rooms. The staff is courteous, but that’s about it. It may be a cultural thing: they’re not rude, but neither are they particularly friendly or chatty, nor do they seem to go the extra mile in their service. I loved the L’Occitane amenities, which were of very good quality.
The room was very small, a bit tight, but from experience I know that most hotels in Paris are like that. I would have liked a bit more space and to have an iron and ironing board in the room without needing to request it every time I needed it.
The room cleaning stood out to me, as it was very well done, and although the room looked a bit worn with age, it was always left very clean and the bed perfectly made.
Breakfast seemed quite limited in options, so I only had it once and the rest of the time went out to eat elsewhere.
The area is wonderful—everything is nearby, with a Metro station right across the street, convenience stores, restaurants, parks, everything. I would choose it again.
