A Little Peace of Heaven, Cabin #4

We are looking forward to your arrival. Here is some information that might come in handy:
Our address is 9670 North Fork Rd.
Polebridge, Montana 59928
You do not have to come through the park to get to A LITTLE PEACE OF HEAVEN. You can come through Columbia Falls. Take Nucleus Road through the little town of Columbia Falls. In about a half a mile you’ll come to a stop sign there take a right. That is 486. Stay on that road until you get to A LITTLE PEACE OF HEAVEN. 486 turns into the North Fork Rd. but there are no signs. You will have about 12 miles of pavement then about 12 miles of gravel. That will take you to the Camas Road which is an entrance to the park but don’t turn there; continue on about another 11 miles you will have a little more gravel and then about 3 miles of pavement, we are on the pavement. You will see our rock sign on the left. The driveway is a half a mile switchback. Park between the lodge and the garage and ring the door bell on the lodge porch. Someone will greet you and show you to your cabin. Cell phones don’t work up on the North Fork, but we do have a landline you may use and give the number to family members who may need to get ahold of you. The number is: 406-888-5090.
If you haven’t gotten your vehicle reservation yet you may want to check this out:
https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/gtsrticketedentry.htm
It is a good thing to bring your groceries with you. Kalispell has a Walmart and a Costco, also many nice grocery stores. Columbia Falls and White Fish also have nice grocery stores. If you shop at Super 1 you may want to indulge in a 25 cent kids cone.

The property is a couple miles south of Polebridge where you will find a quaint old mercantile that sells outstanding pastries along with a few necessities and gifts. Next door to the mercantile is the Northern Lights cafe. A few miles further is an entrance to Glacier Park that will take you to the famous Bowman and Kintla lakes.
At Polebridge you will find fishing on the Flathead river. Also you will see rafts and kayaks going down the river.
South of us you will find Ranch Bottoms cafe.
We are surrounded by Fish and Game and the Forestry departments which will allow you to roam around beyond our property.
To get to our cabins you will go up a half a mile switch back driveway. You will see splendid views as you go up and will look forward to a stroll back where you can sit on one of the large boulders lining the driveway and drink in the view. We also have two sites overlooking the Glacier Park Rocky Mountain range that have huge unique benches inviting you to sit and be inspired.
The four cabins are located in a semi-circle with a play area in the middle. Here is a volley ball net, a horse shoe game , a tether ball, toss games, a barbecue, picnic tables and a fire pit. Up at the lodge is a sand box and a swing set.
At the lodge is a telephone for your convenience. You are invited to come and relax on one of the decks while you bask in the atmosphere of the mountains with its nature all around you.
The lodge has a loft available for rent with two large bedrooms, a bath in between, a deck and a love seat.
In the cabin itself you will have a loft with two queen beds and there is a portable crib available for the asking. In the living room is a comfortable faux leather futon. The kitchen is completely furnished with everything you will need. The bathroom has a shower with hot running water which feels so good after a day of hiking. You will enjoy sitting out on your own porch watching the deer roam while the children play.
Evenings are always looked forward to around the campfire. Firewood is provided as well as sticks for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs.

Million Dollar View
Words cannot describe the view from ‘A Little Piece of Heaven’. From the time we arrived we loved the facilities. Besides being beautiful we also enjoyed no phone service, no Wi-Fi or no television. The owner was very friendly and informative. There was some Road repair on the way to the property, but was not a problem. It brought back memories of the roads when we were young. The location was convenient to entrances to the park. If we go again to Glacier we will definitely stay at the facility.

Glacier
We didn't stay here. We got no address or directions and were unable to find it the first night. We went during the morning on day 2, but 1/2 the road is unpaved and not easily driveable for people not used to it. The cabin from the outside was very nice and the lodge was beautiful inside. The views were spectacular, but the place was just not for us. The owner/son were very kind and did not charge us for the first night.

Exactly what we expected
This was a cute little log cabin in the middle of nowhere! No internet, no cell service. Just nature and a reasonable distance to Glacier. My only suggestion would be a book or information sheet in the cabin with check in/check out procedures. We could not access the app/web listing while we were there so we weren't sure what to do.

A Little Peace and an Amazing View
My husband and I were looking for a quiet place close enough to Glacier Park for daily activities. We found it, and the view of the mountains and meadows was amazing! Our hosts were exceptional! They were friendly, helpful and shared stories of the area.

Tranquility
Loved it for the little time we got there... Will definitely be back! They were very nice and hospitable and helpful. My only down thing was the very rough section of the road but it wasn't the whole entire distance it was just a section of the road that was very rough of the gravel road

A lovely little cabin
We loved this little cabin. It has everything you would need and the Polebridge mercantile is just a few minutes down the road if you need anything. Gary was very helpful in giving advice on the park and we found the moose right where he said it would be. The only downside is that it's quite a haul from other sections of the park and if I had realized, I would have allotted more time to our stay, but that was my issue not theirs. I would definitely stay again.

Cannot beat the view
The property was somewhat difficult to get to as the road was under construction. The property is so close to Glacier National Park that it was very worth it. The views were amazing, the owners were very kind, the cabin itself was exactly what we needed.

A lot of heaven!
A lot of heaven! They named their cabin lodge/cabins a little bit of heaven. I have to say it should be A Lot of Heaven! I don’t know how to write a review good enough to tell you how great it was. I guess I’ll have to start with the people that rented it to us. They were wonderful Christian people. They were always out and about and ready to help you. And they love chatting with you. The cabin itself was perfect. My daughter and I went there together for a girls vacation. It was all we needed for a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the quiet view of the mountains. We bought some things besides food like toiletries and things but they had a lot of that there already. Plenty of silverware dishes cups even a old-fashioned percolator which I loved. The price was really great. I mean for four nights you could never have stayed in a hotel for that price. The Hilton on steroids could not compare. If we ever come back here again we will certainly go there. We highly recommend it. Oh, and a sidenote, we were so close to the West glacier entrance that it was unbelievable. It was just a couple miles from our cabin. Another plus! Oh and if you go you need to go I have a mile down the road to a Mercantile store that’s been there since 1914. It is famous for their huckleberry bear claws. Delish!! They ship them all over the world. I know my little review wasn’t much but I do pray that they have continued success and good health.

Aug 2022 Vacation
The property was beautiful. Views of the valley were amazing - even with the smoke from the fire nearby. Location was perfect, just south of Polebridge and Glacier park entrance. Directions and instructions provided by owners were perfect. We were greeted upon our arrival by Gary who answered any questions that we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we have the chance to return to the area, we will stay here again!
