"This was an amazing hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very clean, large with a lovely view on the deck of the gardens. The breakfast was also worth paying for. We would definitely come back to this hotel again. Best hotel we have stayed in so far during our France visit. "

"What a spectacular hotel and hands-down the most impressive BEST WESTERN we've ever stayed at. The view of the Pont Valentré bridge was a nice addition as well. Cahors turned out to be one of the most magical places we visited on our trip to France and this hotel made it even more special. Straight out of a fairytale... Can't wait to return to this wonderful town and will definitely stay in this hotel."

"The stay was a one nighter on the way north from Spain. The guy on reception couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is tired and scruffy and in need of a refurb but for the money it was good value. "

"Incredible idyllic home set on ten beautiful acres. The hostess was incredibly accommodating, friendly and welcoming. The charming family who renovated this 800 year old mini castle spent five years renovating, and it shows. We loved every minute of our visit and we would make a point of returning. Bravo! Mercy!"

"Un peu difficile a trouver. Site tres agréable au bord de la Dordogne. Une trentaine de tentes réparties dans un grand champ. Tente bien aménagée. Un bloc acceuil et petite restauration, un bloc sanitaires, une cuisine ouverte pour ceux qui veulent preparer leurs repas. C est un camping il faut donc apporter ses draps et ses serviettes ( photos sur le site un peu trompeuses!) . Expérience sympathique en pleine nature."

Once in a while the pillow supplied is perfect for me, this was an occasion. Very good sleep. The breakfast was good and as a buffet, ample. Would stay again."

"Lovely staying in an old castle but it does come with some challenges. There are a lot of curved stair cases and no elevators. Scenery is beautiful and the village is very quaint and peaceful. "

"This property exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived early and were allowed to check in without any fuss and were shown to a wonderful room (No 1) with a stunning view of the river. We had lunch in the restaurant and while I went to watch the Tour de France, my wife relaxed in the room and walked the dog by the river. The pool was a welcome relief after a hot day and dinner on the terrace was superb.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was just perfect. It was a shame we only...

"We stayed in the hotel on a Saturday night and had to endure the noise from a nearby night club until 4 AM. The room was basic but the parking was ample."

"A beautiful hotel with a stunning view. The pool was a lovely addition and our room was comfortable and well appointed. Our only complaint was that the bedroom was open to the sitting room and was not a true separate bedroom. This was a challenge for us as we were travelling with a 14 month old and found it hard to enjoy the patio and lovely space past her bedtime. This would not be a limiting factor for many people/families staying at this property and was specific to our needs.
The kitchen was very well appointed and the shower was lovely and spa like.
The owner was very helpful when our baby came down with an ear infection and provided us with the contact information for a doctor.

"The location is a plus near to the lift to the town and the castle. The pool was an added bonus. Everything was within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little

Our check-in was at 4pm. We arrived at 4, to be told our accomodation wasn’t ready yet but would be within 30 mins. We actually got the keys an hour and half later.
The house was clean-ish (hence the star) but very dated.
Everything else was absolutely terrible.
The description of the property on hotels.com is completely misleading. The free wifi doesn’t work. There is no bar, no kids club, no barbecue (but you can pay £19 a week (!!!!) to hire from the reception an electric bbq, which looks more like a portable electric hob)
The pool is also dated, surrounded by weeds. The full place would need a serious refurbishment.
The lady at the reception was nice but she seems to be the only member of staff there.
Overall, this was the worse place we ever stayed at for a family short break."
