We had an absolutely wonderful time in Red River! The house was just about perfect, but there were a few notes I'd like to offer.
Better instructions for where the dumpster/s were would have been helpful. We happened across one into town one morning and hoped it was ok for us to drop our trash there. We read somewhere after that that any could be used in town, but not knowing where "any" of those are is a little challenging! There were also a really limited number of forks in the kitchen. There were 6 of us and 6 forks, so we had to hand wash them after every meal so we had them for the next meal. The coffee pot was also a little challenging and took a few days to get the hang of. We are big coffee drinkers, so we tried to make a full pot the first day, but the filter basket overflowed and the coffee was full of grounds. I tried to reduce the number of cups I did at a time and found that 6 was about all you could do at a time without it overflowing. The chairs in the living room also seem to be in need of replacing.... They were very difficult to open/close and felt like you were almost sitting on the floor when you finally got into them. We also really could have used a snow shovel for the front steps and walkways. And as evidenced by the first phone call I made when we arrived, the front door was extremely difficult to get open.
The welcome basket and toiletries were absolutely wonderful and a nice way to start our trip! It was so nice to have the fireplace and fire wood too! We definitely took advantage of that with the cold days! The supplies in the kitchen were also very helpful...spices, syrup, flour, sugar, etc., pots and pans. The realtor support was huge! Any time I couldn't find something, I would text Crystal and she magically knew where it was! All of the storage throughout the house was also wonderful. We had plenty of space for all of our stuff in the bedroom, bathrooms and laundry room!
All in all, we had a wonderful trip and will most definitely be back!
