Charming Oasis in the Heart of Historic Downtown

Our beautiful two bedroom apartment is a perfect place for people to enjoy while visiting all the sites of iconic Wabasha and its surrounding areas. Just 1/2 block from the National Eagle center it makes for a perfect getaway from city life. The space boasts two bedrooms (king and queen sized beds), a kitchen and living room all on the same floor you will have the space and appliances needed to make your visit to Wabasha unforgettable! All appliances, beds (tuft and needle), couches, TV etc are brand new and ready to be enjoyed. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all your cooking needs as well as a coffee machine + french press and griddle for those leisurely mornings in! With two full sized rooms it makes a great location for a romantic weekend away, a great space for friends or a perfect location for a family. The apartment also come equipped with a new smart TV and cable access. You are able to easily eagle watch on the deck, where you a have a great view of the Mississippi River, or from most of the apartment windows.

Since this apartment is located on the top floor, the entrance is on the left of the house up one flight of stairs.

Great downtown location

Location was perfect as we had a wedding in nearby Pepin. Apartment was exactly as described and better then a hotel. Stacy's Kitchen was literally across the street for breakfast and the Silver Star Saloon was perfect for drinks and food. Try the nachos, you won't be disappointed. The owner was very responsive to our questions prior to our arrival and gave us some tips of things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tom and Ann

Great Rental right in downtown Wabasha

The location is awesome. It's right around the corner from the Eagle Center, a block from the Mississippi River, and there are several restaurants, interesting stores, and historical buildings within walking distance. This upstairs apartment is very nice. It has beautiful wood floors and nice woodwork, generously-sized bedrooms, and a great bathroom. The kitchen is very functional and although we did have some restaurant meals, we were able to eat most of our meals here in the apartment. There are lots of windows and lots of light. The owner was very responsive to our questions, and when the AC wasn't working properly at first, they immediately replaced the AC unit, which worked perfectly. The apartment, in general, is an interesting space - not "cookie-cutter" and not like a boring hotel room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you! Barbara & Jim

Poor place to stay if you have verigo or handicapped.

I just got a bill for for a dumpy VRBO for something that was a horrible situation. At first, we thought it would be okay to stay at this place, then we realized BIG MISTAKE!! Then whole time you stay there realize the floors are slanted. If you have any type of handicap or vertigo, it is dreadful. My niece got sick from the slanted floors. I was trying to find a waste basket and then saw a camera in the bathroom. So we decided to leave immediately. The host now will not only give me a nights stay refund, but is accusing me of ruining sheets. Well, we virtually know that is impossible. There is a thing called bleach. Yes, there was a tad bit of throw up on them, but realizing there was a camera on us in the bathroom, we fled. And didn't feel the need to clean-up. So please realize I use VRBO all the time. I have an immaculate rating. But someone from VRBO needs to inspect this host. Also, we were accused of soiling a couch that neither of us even sat in. And the couch is in the kitchen. The place is small and really no place to relax and just watch TV. I now am dealing with a host that is accusing me ruining sheets, flooring and a couch. I would never disrespect someone's property. Bad deal for everyone involved.

We’ve stayed in this apartment twice and really enjoyed both visits! It’s clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and a big fridge. The central air and extra AC keep things cool, even upstairs. The bathroom is roomy, and the beautiful floors add a nice touch—even their bit of slant gives the place some memorable character. (In fact, on our first stay, my husband had fun setting a marble in the middle of the floor and watching it roll—one of those little quirks that makes a place memorable!) Be aware there’s a long, steep flight of covered stairs to reach the apartment, but we found it well worth it. Overall, a lovely place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, quiet and safe. The location was just what we wanted. There is no water view, the trees summer leaves are blocking it. Also, the ceilings are quite low (7’), and each room has a ceiling fan. So the property might not be for you if you are tall. Also, if you have any mobility concerns it would be a challenge. It is a second floor unit, the beds are very low to the floor (to accommodate for the low ceilings) and there are some stairs inside the unit that are very easy to trip down.

somewhat disappointing

I can't say we didn't enjoy our stay in the Wabasha area-did a lot of interesting things. However, we have stayed at several VRBO properties & have never been unhappy until now. The unit was clean, comfy, & well stocked but there were some issues that you might want to consider. The stairs leading up to the unit are quite steep and carrying supplies & luggage may not be suitable for senior citizens. It was exhausting to say the least. The "partial river view" is actually no river view due to overgrown tree branches completely blocking any view. The beds, although comfy, are very low & difficult to get out of. It is a very convenient location to explore the area but just beware if you have any physical issues.

Great little getaway!

This apartment was perfect for our family with 2 littles under age 6. The rooms were spacious and accommodations were all as listed. The central location was great for walking around town!

Girls Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Clean, quiet and within walking distance to everything in town. The outdoor steps up to the front door are steep. My friend was a little unsteady carrying luggage up and down the stairs we are seniors. Did not use the deck.
