“So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. “I stay in around 100 places each year for work and this was bad. Poor quality fittings and fixtures vey well used. No soap, shower door didn’t close, toilet on some kind of strange plinth. Laminate falling to bits. No Freeview or terrestrial tv, streaming only but WiFi is so bad it doesn’t work at peak times 2 mattresses on bed bottom one very grubby I think it’s a converted garage. May suit someone with low standards I ended up leaving after 2 nights stayed last night elsewhere ”

“This is a great place to stay. The rooms were motel style so open the door straight outside which was perfect as we had our 5month puppy with us. Dog friendly too, could take her into the pub. On arrival, in our room was a dog bed, two dog bowls, dog towel and a doggy welcome pack - great touch. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. “I stayed at the royal maritimime hotel for 2 nights and the room was very comfortable,the bathroom was lovely and big and there was daily housekeeping. Only downside is I noticed after the housekeeping had been, in the shower the small bottle of shower gel was still on the floor in the shower so I don't think the shower had got done but that is my only criticism. I had breakfast on my first day and there was good choice and it was nice and hot , I choose to have breakfast in town on my 2nd day...
