Car Rental Alpine

After you've covered all the interesting places in Alpine, there's heaps more to discover in the region. Collect the keys to a rental car, toss your luggage in the trunk and get on the road. These are some road trips we know you'll enjoy:

• You'll discover Parliament House and countless other interesting sights in Canberra. From Alpine, it's roughly 100 miles away.
• Your next pit stop? It has to be Sydney, which is around 55 miles away. Sydney Opera House is one local hot spot you really shouldn't miss.
• Spend time in the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Newcastle Beach. You'll find it roughly 130 miles from Alpine.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Australia, then you might need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before sliding behind the wheel. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with a rental car.
