• Uppsala is around 40 miles from Gamla Stan. Top-rated attractions like Gustavianum Museum should be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Your next stop? Consider Örebro, which is around 100 miles away. Gustavsvik is one local draw card you really shouldn't miss.
• Get into nature and appreciate the serenity at Tiveden National Park. It's approximately 130 miles from Gamla Stan.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Sweden, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:
