Car Rental Phla

Phla is full of fun adventures, but don't limit yourself to only one place. Grab a set of wheels and take to the road to explore the wider region. These are some great options:

• Bangkok is about 80 miles from Phla. Renowned tourist spots like Grand Palace deserve a place on your must-see list here.
• Roughly 75 miles away, Hua Hin is also popular with wanderers. Make sure you get to Hua Hin Railway Station while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this colorful city.
• Venture into the outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Thung Wua Laen Beach. It's approximately 190 miles from Phla.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Thailand, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some other requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before driving away. You typically can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with your rental car.
