There's loads to do in São Paulo, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can wander around the surrounding region at your own pace. Add these fantastic drives to your itinerary:

• Make your way to Itabira for a fun-filled sightseeing experience. Around 100 miles from São Paulo, it has tons of cool attractions like Well of Holy Water Park.
• Why not check out everything on offer in Teófilo Otoni too? Major sights here include Tiradentes Square. Teófilo Otoni is roughly 75 miles from São Paulo.
• Make tracks to Morro Beach to discover some local nature. Take a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From São Paulo, it's about 160 miles away.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Brazil, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car.
