Car Rental West End

When you've checked out all of the interesting attractions in West End, there's a lot more to see in the surrounding region. Grab the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and hit the road. We've pulled together some drives we think you'll enjoy:

• Dildo is roughly 35 miles from West End. Popular tourist attractions like Dildo Harbour should be high on your list while you're in town.
• Located 75 miles away, Clarenville is also a hit with wanderers. Make time to check out White Hills Resort while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this vibrant city.
• Get into the outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Corduroy Brook. It's approximately 160 miles from West End.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Canada, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before you drive off the lot. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with your rental car.
