“So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.

“The place was great to spend time in and relax. Walking in the new forest is just across the road. Great to just be able to switch off for a while.
The staff were all nice. The food was nice. Room was clean and well equiped.
We will definitely be going again”
“The hotel is located in the beautiful town of Romsey, which is very clean with plenty to see, good shopping and good restaurants.
Although there is no elevator in the hotel, staff were available to carry up the luggage. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help and assist.”
“Staff are worth their weight in gold and the Canford boasts some heavy weights. Take a walk along the nearby promenade and take in the surrounding area and its wealthy residents. Food at breakfast and dinner was superb. This establishment like so many other places is a dog friendly hotel and bar. On a damp day, your nose will remind you. I tried to plug in my firestick at the back of the telly but was put off by the avalanche of dust. Bathroom window is losing the fight against the ivy growing...
