“This was my second stay at this location with my dogs. Always very clean and has all the amenities that you need. Safe and comfortable for a single traveler and her dogs. I love the privacy of the location and the quiet farm atmosphere. I walked my dogs up and down the driveway every morning and said hello to the horses, donkeys and cow. My dogs also loved the bedroom window to watch the deer outside. It is not far from all the sites to see in the area. I will definitely book another visit……

“Slide the door open to walk out to a patio, miles of rolling grassy hills and woodland and birds singing, with the James River sparkling in the distance! It was glorious.”

“What a great place in a perfect location in a fun walkable beautiful town. Even though the place is dog friendly, it had no trace of dog odors. Also, parking was great. Park your car and only get back in it to depart town. Hope to return soon.”

“The property was oversold online to make it look like it had a view of the nearby canal, but it didn't. While I understand the house was 170 years old, it felt like it could fall apart with a false move. The main floor had several chairs, but no couch. The stairs to the top floor were very narrow and you had to be careful going up and down. The 2nd floor was the primary sleeping area with a single bed and futon bed in the landing and a queen bed and bathroom with a sink and toilet. The single……

“Host was welcoming and helpful. Responded quickly to bringing salt for freezing/ice on the steps. Had minor issues with backyard not being fully fenced in or access to a porch light for cleaning up poop. Bath and toiletries are available and well labeled, however brands/scents aren't labeled. I'm allergic to lavender so I couldn't risk using any. ”

“This is such a cool house! The fridge was stocked with drinks, and fresh fruit and snacks. A sweet,personal note from the owners wishing us a good trip. We explored everywhere! This home is the perfect location if you are interested in Gettysburg. Everything was so clean and neat, The beds were very comfortable. Excellent water pressure, with instant hot water. Easy to find, and absolutely beautiful surroundings. Apple trees all around with a really cool pond. 10/10. Will definitely stay again!”

“Lovely house with a lot of charm and tons of space. The house is very old, so it has its quirks and signs of age, but it was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Horseback riding on the property was also great bonus! ”

This house was clean, beds were comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. It was within walking distance of downtown where there was a wide variety of shops and dining locations. 10/10 would recommend/stay again.”
