“My husband and I really enjoyed the views and amenities given by this property. It was a good place with shallow water for kids to fish safely. The Air Hockey table was a winner for all ages. Nick, the host was always cheerful and helpful. I really do recommend spending a few days here to relax with friends and family.”

“I've stayed at the Subshine House numerous times and it is as charming as ever with the new ownership. It's a serene oasis! The sunrises from the deck and expansive views from the house are amazing. The house is clean and well stocked and there is a TV in each room. My dog enjoyed playing in the big yard and water. Kiran was super nice, communitive and helpful. I will definitely come back again.”

“A very nice and clean, spacious house and property. Unfortunately our recent May 2nd - 5th stay was plagued with poor, spotty rainy weather except for the arrival night so we didn't get to utilize all of the of outdoor features associated with the property. Having firewood available for the firepit was a nice convenience. We definitely would consider staying there again. Please note to be careful walking on the outside stone pathways, some become a little slippery when wet.”

“It was great having such a large space for our families to enjoy. A previous review noted that the water dispenser in the refrigerator was not working. During our stay, the water dispenser worked on the first day and then stopped working. Also noted in previous reviews is that as big and well-stocked with cooking tools that the kitchen is, it could use an update. “Everything was so smooth, from the check in to check out. We really enjoyed the beautiful water views and the hot tub! I wish the indoor pool was open a little later, but the kids were able to get in an hour of swimming before it closed. The cabin was well stocked with all essentials and was clean and cozy! “Getting to and from the lakehouse was a breeze, the location was perfect. Check-In was seamless and so was communcation with the property manager. The house had everything you'd need for the most part, plent of space for everyone to enjoy their time. The dock was perfect for fishing and swimming, could use a power washing as it was littered with spiders. The house was clean but you could tell it had been awhile in-between guests as you'd find cobwebs and the elements haven't been great to the……

“Overall we loved this property. We travel from ct annually to visit friends in the area and always stay on lake anna. This was our favorite property so far. House was huge and the price point was perfect. You are one mile from food lion and dollar general. I've never stayed that close! Two decks to choose from for enjoying morning coffee. “Had stayed here once a couple years ago and the motel seems updated. Everything was clean and functioned well, and bedding was comfortable. Surprised by the design in room curtains- only sheers, so the room wasnt really dark at night. Front desk personnel friendly and efficient. ”

“Staff was great. Trouble with keys. After we checked in the keys worked, but we left for a family event and when we returned, the keys didn’t work. We had to go down from the fourth floor two times until we finally got one that let us get back into our room. Another lodger told me he had to the same problem and it took him two trips down too to get keys that worked. May have been a glitch in their system.”
