Our first impression was shock, when we entered the house and there was a HUGE crack and stain in the living room ceiling underneath the upstairs bathroom. When we went into our rooms, we honestly couldn't tell if the bedding had been cleaned. The blankets were stained and really worn. We request 5 towels because there was 5 of us renting. We only found 3 and two of them were ripped down the middle. After leaving several texts and voice mails, then contacting VRBO support, our host answered and brought us over a tote of towels and other bedding. Each year we take this trip to Springfield for the antique show, so our time together is limited. The first two hours of our first evening was spent on the phone with VRBO and the owner trying to get help with the things that should’ve been in place when we arrived…We tried to get a refund from VRBO support because of the conditions. SInce they didn't help us, we went and bought our own blankets and slept on top of the beds. Our host did try to make ammends, but the whole property really needs to be repaired, thoroughly cleaned and updated before someone rents it again.
