Great location! Steps from the beach.
We had a wonderful time. Very short walk to the beach. The location can not be beat. Cute cottages. We stayed in one and a friend stayed in another. The kiddos were safely running between. They are very nice old cottages. Cant beat the location. Capt. AL always responded. Thank you! We had a great time.

Perfect beach bungalow
We tend to visit clearwater about 6 times a year and after staying here this time i am so upset i never found it before! The owners and employees were so welcoming and friendly but werent pushy like anywhere else you stay! Also, the amount of items necessary for a day at the beach was an extra bonus i didnt know we needed. Absolutely recommend 100% and will be staying here again!!

Cute and location was excellent
It's just north of the strip but can walk into the action in a matter of minutes. It's a 3 minute walk to the beach. The property has chairs, and beach stuff to borrow. The property itself was very cute and corky! It's tight but it worked well for us. The captain was excellent with communication! Would definitely come back again. Thank you

Classic Beach House - Very Nice Shabby Chic
Clearwater Beach offers mostly soulless high rises, but this 100-year-old cottage has the character of Old Florida (something we like a lot.) This apartment is reasonably spacious and decorated with real style. The cottage is old and every surface has probably 20 layers of paint, but that is part of its old charm. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. The courtyard was a bit less cared for -- some clutter and it would have benefited from a daily leaf-blowing. I guess this complex attracts families with small children, which was nice. It really is almost right on the beach. Overall, we were charmed.

Great little beach cottage
The location is perfect for whatever you want to do. It's close to the beach, restaurants and shops but it's a couple streets north of the hustle and bustle so the street is quiet. Capt. Al responds by text quickly and will do whatever he can up make your trip work for you.

Great cottage near the beach
We stayed in the pink gulfside cottage and it worked great for us. It’s close proximity to the beach was very convenient and the owner and housekeeper were great.

Couldn't stay--double booked
Arrived at night to find property had been double-booked and we had no place to stay. I had texted manager during driving to let him know what time we were arriving. Manager worked with me to find a place to go (with 4 children in our group) during spring break. Extremely fortunate to find someplace that could accommodate our group, but it was more expensive. Communication between computer systems problem?? Manager had responded to a previous email and that day had answered my text, so he knew we were headed his way. Very tense hour or two, wondering were we were going to stay, or having to drive inland.

Dear Elaine; We apologized for the double booking and sometimes online calendars do not link but we try our best to make sure things get straightened out. It is spring break and many hotels are overbooked. I spent a considerable amount of time checking with other hotel owners which I know personally, then booked online just like you did , only to find with you following me that the room was not ready after an online booking, and then did find you a suitable property, sorry a bit more but did everything possible to make things right and of course 100 % refund. I also gave you in cash half of the extra cost $200.00 I am sure you would never have found anyone other hotel owner to find you a room and then give you money as an apology for the inconvenience. Sorry you felt it necessary to write a one star review for a very fine property Capt AL

We had a very good time and would've stayed another day if it were available. This was a nice comfortable little collage. Perfect for a family of 3 - 5. The staff was very friendly and courteous. It literally is only steps from the beach (less than a 100 yards).

Great mini getaway!
Quite enjoyed our stay! Fun, laid back setting that was right up our alley. Very pet friendly and extremely close to the beach and within walking distance to the popular beach hangouts. Staff was friendly and helpful, wish we were able to stay longer and would return!

Great property and location, communication not so great.
We had a great time. We got everything we needed and our trip never felt like a hassle. Everything was clean and orderly, extra supplies were not a problem when needed. The only thing I would recommend is better communication from the property manager/owner. It was a bit sporadic and never did get responses when we were checking out.

Fantastic location!!!!
Location was everything!! Steps from the beach. Cottage was away from all the busyness yet within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Capt Al and Ginger were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Beach Cottage
If you are looking for the perfect place to stay for your Clearwater vacation, look no further. This place was not only a few steps to the beach, but also the perfect distance away from the crowd. The cottage we stayed at was the perfect for our family. It was clean and exactly the way it was described in the listing. Next time we go to Clearwater, I will for sure be staying here again.

Best location
Captain Al was extremely friendly and accommodating. The location of the property is perfect to the beach, restaurants and shops. The beaches are like white powder and the sunsets are breathtaking. We enjoyed the hot tub nightly. Captain Al has all the equipment needed to borrow for a great beach vacation.

Family of 5 visiting Clearwater for a wedding
Our family spent 5 nights at Cap't Al's cottages. The cottage was exactly as described - no frills, just what you need and 100 steps from the beach. We found the cottage after deciding we did not want to stay at Holiday Inn or Sandpearl for a family wedding. Considering Covid - hotels did not seem the safest route. Plus, we have little kids who want to run and play and prefer to not deal with restaurants much. Though, we did like that it was walking distance to Frenchy's Rock A Way and Palm Pavillion. Our only issues were that the floors weren't very clean (we have a crawling baby) when we arrived and many electrical outlets were not working. Neither of those greatly impacted our stay. Cap't Al was very helpful, providing us with a beach umbrella. We bought beach toys and blow ups (and left them there for future guests) but he had many there already. Wasn't an issue to get new sheets. Plenty of towels provided. there were other quests but it was quiet, no late night rowdiness, perfect for a young familly. Great experience overall.

Great Beach Cottage
We had 2 fantastic days at the cottage. Staff was very helpful, and the location was perfect. Each day we walked to breakfast, walked to the beach and then walked to dinner. We would definitely stay again!

The Pink Palace
My family and I had a great experience at the Gulfside Cottage!! It had all the comforts of home which is great if you don't want to eat out at every meal. Everything is walking distance. The beach is so close. Gotta love the jacuzzi!! Captain Al and Karen were wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Restored Clearwater Beach House was Fun
The 1925 restored Clearwater Beach House was a nice change from the high rise hotels that are taking over the landscape. Capt. Al and his crew are wonderful people that offer something unique to travelers. The guests that stayed in the other cottages we folks that I can see as friends. It had a great vibe.

Great experience.
Friendly, relaxing, owner very helpful in information, they went out of there way to accommodate us. Very very close to beach, had everything we needed for the beach and there was even sunscreen to use. Walking distance to a cvs, gas station and restaurant. Capt al stopped to talk to us several times when we was outside. Great experience.

Great stay
Owner very helpful. Very close to the beach. Hot water wasn't great but expected and front room ac didn't cool but we put a fan to blow into it and was ok. I told Al we were ok. I would definitely stay there again and plan to rent multiple for a family vacation next year

Fantastic cozy cottage!
This property was absolutely perfect for our girls trip. Super close to everything. We walked everywhere. The staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating. We could not have had a better location! If you want a relaxed environment with everything you need (beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, floats, tents, towels, etc) then this is your place.

We love this cottage!
My wife and I were celebrating our 1 yr anniversary, and I found this cottage searching Trivago I believe. The price was right and the location, perfect. Capt. Al stayed in touch until we arrived. We arrived and the property was great. Everything was nice and clean, AC was cold (were from Texas so working AC is very important), all appliances worked as advertised, and there were so many amenities to take advantage of. Capt. Al met us on the day we arrived, a perfect gentleman and fun guy, and even took us out on his boat on Labor day, an extra special treat for us. The location is the most amazing part about this property, everything is literally within walking distance, plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to keep you entertained, not to mention Pier 60 just a few blocks away. It also has a nice backyard lounging area with table, hot tub, and it is decorated perfectly. It's a quiet, relaxing, quaint place with a great owner that takes care of you. You will not be disappointed with this property selection. 5 stars.

Amazing cottage for an amazing price
This is a great cottage for familes that can get along in tight quarters. We stayed in the Gulfside cottage and had 4 adults and a toddler. We were able to make it work, but you have to be okay with little privacy. Beach was beautiful and never too crowded. Main strip of restaurants, bars, and shops are less than a 10 min walk away. The staff made us feel welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed.

Property was clean and quaint. Decor needs updating
Loved the location as it was 100 feet to the beach and minutes to everything else. Al was friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. Had water toys, beach umbrella, towels and coolers for our use available.

Great for a family
We arrived early for check in and were pleasantly surprised to find our rental not only ready but that we had been upgraded to a larger unit. It was more than enough space for our family of 5. Great location only steps to the beach and just a few blocks to the pier. We had a great visit and are already planning our next trip. Thanks Capt. Al. Kids said it was the best vacation ever!!
