Glad you enjoyed that it was close to the beach and steps away, but it is not advertised to be on the beach and we do not advertised that you can see the beach from this cottage. Although the cottage has new floors there are some spots that are not perfect and we are sorry that made you afraid to step its just a bit spongy . Glad you found the Murphy Wall bed very good, sorry your did not like the trifold mattress sofabed. Glad you enjoyed the great location where you can walk to everything. Dear Amanda: Sorry to hear you were disappointed, it did appear your family was having a great time. Lets go through your disappointments First red flag, I did not have a key on me when you arrived early morning, not 2.00 , so you got to enjoy a very early check in from 11 am. I do leave the doors open, as I mentioned, nobody steals things on an island. You got to check in before noon and I brought you a key soon after. Other guests, the intoxicated men you mentioned, who checked in late that night also did not read the welcome package or online House Rules, and thought that the hot tub and BBQ grill in your front yard was for their use, The HOUSE RULES clearly state it is in the common backyard. My phone is off at 11pm , and your husband could have easily directed them to the back yard or asked them to leave. The House rules and even the sign on the hot tub says Open from 6-9 and by reservation only. You mention the broken empty hot tub, but you did not mention how you and your family enjoyed the new delux hot tub the first night. Your disappointment is from the fact that you did not read the listing agreement, house rules, or hot tub signs. You also did not mention or pay for the 2 big dogs that you brought ( over 30 lbs each ) You also did not mention how clean and new everything was, as the house was just remodeled prior to your visit, and I am sure you enjoyed the King size bed, 60 inch TV, and freezing cold central air. Other guests prior to you all have given this house FIVE STARS, and had an amazing time, said great place, said great piece of paradise, loved this cottage. Go figure, and you left the housekeeper 2 pennies. head side up . Very, very rude and disrespectful as well as not cleaning up after your dogs. Smart travelers who read all the reviews will know that the house keeper is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Future travelers can read dozens of FIVE STAR reviews of Clearwater Cottages from happy travelers on other sites. Capt.Al
