"My family stayed at the Fonte del Benessere Resort for five nights. The hotel is excellent, and we would have awarded 5 stars but for the the really bad dinner we experienced. One night we decided to eat dinner in the dining room. The service was excellent however the food was genuinely bad. Bland pasta dishes, under cooked food. "This was quite a find - with such an interesting name, I just had to book a night there. It really is a jewel, it seems very new. We arrived early and had a splendid greeting. In view of our disability and difficulty walking, we were changed to a ground floor room which was spacious and seriously cool in the current heatwave. "My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Il Giardino del Rio and enjoyed every moment. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns.
