No ascensor”

“Beautiful friendly historic location. Excellent food, comfortable quiet rooms and a decent size car park. Service was great and the WiFi was good. Sir Francis Drake used to live nearby for history buffs. Deep in the Tamar Valley AONB there's much to enjoy. Phone signal is shaky in Milton Combe.”

“Room was clean, basic, but had all that I needed. Bed was very comfortable but room was initially a little cool. Radiator was adjustable and it soon warmed up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu was varied, food well prepared and nicely presented. Typically pub food. Breakfast freshly cooked to order with good choice of cereals available. Bar well supplied and good, friendly service.”

“We booked a deluxe en-suite double room with (according to the website) a four-poster bed. This room was no longer available and we were assigned a room which was dark and grubby. “The hotel is in a beautiful and restful setting. The staff could not have been more helpful. The restaurant food was brilliant. We enjoyed seeing the peacocks and other birds in the grounds.”

“Great location, lovely welcoming staff, good room and an amazing breakfast, thank you.”

“The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.”

“Lovely room, clean facilities, landlords very helpful and great selection on tap for the evening!”
