But the next day was less and the following day was even less. No eggs, no milk no cottage cheese. Each day was getting slim pickens. (but they did go buy a half gallon of milk) The thing is it was the middle of the week not many people there. So they need to plan much better. “This was a lovely get away from the city - about 4 hours from Chicago with an easy drive. It's a new to renting so we were one of the first renters. It's in great shape, it has a grill and the kitchen utensils meant for cabin life. The host was very responsive with any questions we had. We enjoyed the calls of the loons, the dock and the fire pit. “We celebrated a birthday at the Bridge Inn and it was the PERFECT couple of days. Such wonderful amenities, clean rooms, and the coffee bar in the lobby is missing nothing! The two cleaning gals we talked to were so very helpful and friendly. They are certainly essential to this place. The patio/balcony is a private little area to enjoy morning coffee on, watching the river come to life each morning.
