"Great stay at Hummingbird Hideaway! Gorgeous views, ample space, great accommodations. Be aware that it is very rural - approx 17 minutes just to get back to the highway, then another 30 minutes to the next town. Very quiet, great stargazing and wildlife. Highly recommend!"

"This property is absolutely gorgeous. We arrived 2 days before my daughter’s wedding in Rye. The house was clean, beautiful and had all the necessities. The hot tub was a great feature along with the smoker grill, gas fireplace on the back porch, and the fire pit! The property owner was very responsive and the house directions were clear. The distance to Brush Canyon Ranch was perfect. The view of the mountains were amazing. This property is a MUST!!"

"Fantastic property and management. Location is right on a stream. So many extras that were really appreciated - tissues, Smore fixins, wood in the fireplace and fire pits outside, toothbrushes in case we forgot ours, etc. Wonderfully decorated inside and out with a cabin, big foot theme. We had a blast taking pictures on the property. Very clean. Kitchen has everything you would need. Close to Isabel Lake and Bishop Castle, lots of trailheads. We are definitely coming back!!"
"We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have asked for a better place to have stayed. It was so comfortable we felt like we were at home. "This is one of my favorite stays ever, the town is a block long, and absolutely beautiful. You can just park at the BnB and walk to everything, you’re right on the creek and the owners are absolutely wonderful people. They have nothing but kind and helpful things to say, they’re ready to help with anything you could come up with. I have a gluten allergy and they were so kind and welcoming! We went to the cuchara mountain park from their recommendation and had such a peaceful time there! If you’re looking for a quiet home away in the mountains, this place is amazing!"

"Wow! This place is a slice of heaven! The peace, connection, and awe we felt for the land and our time together was incredible. Judy and Craig have this place outfitted. Very well equipped. The propane cook burners are bigger than I thought. Great quality. I was cooking for my family of six. They even have automatic outdoor lights so you can see at night if you need to make a trip to the restroom. The cleared trails make for some great walks as a family. I love birding and this location gives you lots of diversity in where you can see birds from the meadow up top to the more dense shadier pine tree areas to the rocky areas, always so much to observe and discover. Truly this place is one in a million. We would definitely come back! It is so great Judy and Craig open up this special place for others to enjoy. What a gift. "

"Arica was our property manager and she was most helpful during late evening hours, when we needed help opening our room door.The room as well as the main area and kitchen were spotless. Aside from the usual sound of passing through town trains, it was quiet at night."
"Nine of us thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay! Space enough for quiet times and group times, indoors and outdoors on the large 2nd floor deck and individual decks. Windows everywhere had us feeling we shared the outdoors in privacy. Hearing birds and the Cuchara River through open windows was a joy. Every bedroom is nice; there isn’t a bedroom that isn’t great. Huge theater-quality TV if you have an event you want to watch. Loved the spacious kitchens, high tech bathrooms, and great radiant floor heating (no need for fireplace). And hosts were pleasant and very responsive!"
