"The house was large for Europe, the host, Carolin, was very attentive and accommodating. The beds were arranged in an interesting manner to fit in 14 people, but it worked. The location is great, close to a grocery store and town. The “hot pot” had been updated from the photos and took a long time to heat, so plan accordingly. The outdoor fireplace was wonderful. It was lovely to have a washer & dryer on site too. (Need Google translate to operate) The trash/recycling/compost situation was confusing so good luck, but Carolin was helpful with that. We never turned on the T.V., so you know it was a great trip. I highly recommend this property if you’re visiting the Black Forest or surrounding areas. "

"Our stay was three days, the staff were friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived. The pool and spa areas were superb, and having Black Forest Gateaux with a pot of tea by the pool was not something we expected to be able to do - but very memorable. The breakfast was epic, it’s plain to see how very proud the chefs are, and this is reflected in the quality and range of breakfast items available. We had guest e bikes (at no charge) we explored the local forest area, this made the hills very easy to navigate - the bikes were of excellent quality. "

The balcony in each room is a wonderful touch. Bathrooms are very compact, but have everything you need. Excellent accommodations for the price. "

"We recently stayed at Hotel H and were underwhelmed by the experience. The hotel's location in an industrial area means there's nothing within walking distance and it got really noisy in the morning. Unfortunately, the staff didn't do much to make us feel welcome. Interactions were brief and lacked warmth, with barely a hello or acknowledgement. Housekeeping was also a letdown. While the room was superficially clean, we noticed that they had missed several items on the floor, leaving us to wonder how thorough the cleaning really was. The rooms themselves are functional, but that's about it. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the windows didn't provide much insulation, making the room chilly at night. Overall, our stay was disappointing, and we wouldn't recommend Hotel H to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay."
