"This was our favorite stay for our 7-day New England trip! After a hectic day exploring Vermont towns with thousands of other tourists, it was a breath of fresh air to pull into peaceful Lyme. The inn is well appointed with gorgeous gardens and sitting areas. Comfortable rooms with tasteful decor. Easy parking. The onsite restaurant is wonderful! We didn’t know to make a reservation but they offered to seat us at the bar. We got lucky and a cancellation came through, so we had a leisurely meal in the sunroom with a very kind and helpful server. There’s not much to do outside the inn, but we enjoyed strolling by the historic horse stables and down the main road after dinner. Would absolutely stay again, and next time, we’ll remember to reserve a table for dinner! "

"We enjoyed the use of the BBQ grill and outdoor seating. Combined with the refrigerator in our room, we were able to enjoy a great family meal while visiting our son at Norwich, without going out to a restaurant. He really enjoyed the homecooked meal. "

"We stayed for 1 night as part of a New England road trip. We were met by the owner on arrival who could not have been more helpful. He suggested a number of places to eat. The room was clean and tidy and included bottles of water, soap etc. The breakfast had many choices and all were fresh. Would stay again"

"Beautiful property very relaxing. Pancakes were perfectly fluffy as you’d expect from a great country inn. Short walk to Stella’s (yum!!) or the on-premise Tavern. Tavern wasn’t open as we were there mid-week but it looked adorable."
