2500 Victory Avenue Dallas, Texas
With room for more than 19,000 fans, the home of Dallas Mavericks basketball and Dallas Stars hockey is the go-to venue for some of the greatest action in sports. Known to regulars as the Hangar, this multipurpose arena is the centerpiece of Victory Park and a great place to catch a piece of the action. Whether it’s an NBA, NHL, or NCAA game, a WWE match, or auditions for The X Factor, the American Airlines Center delivers plenty of top-tier entertainment.
Opened in 2001 as the city’s premier indoor arena, the Hangar has brought performers like The Eagles, Michael Flatley, and Katy Perry. This is where the Mavericks faced off against the Miami Heat for the NBA Finals in 2006 and 2011, and the NHL brought the All-Star Game here in 2007. In the world of college sports, the Hangar was the place for the Big 12 Basketball Tournament in 2003, 2004, and 2006. In addition, the Big 12 Conference is hosting March Madness in 2018 on the legendary hardwood of the American Airlines Center.
