With a program that dates back to 1926, the Miami Hurricanes are one of college football's storied programs. Numerous bowl games, national championships, and a ton of future NFL players all are a part of the University of Miami's illustrious football history.
The U, as they are commonly called, has been one of college football's top-tier programs for many years. The program proudly claims 5 National Titles, 41 bowl appearances (19 of which they've won), and two Heisman winners. Experiencing a game at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium is an experience of a lifetime. Touchdown Tommy is the cannon that is fired off whenever the team runs out of the tunnel, after Miami scores, and at the end of a win. Another one of Miami's best kept traditions is the entrance smoke that billows out of the entrance tunnel with a tape of a hurricane playing over the PA system.
The Univeristy has a long list of legendary players who have not only gone on to play in the NFL but get elected to the Hall of Fame. Some of those names include Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis, and Jim Kelly just to name a few.
