All the action of college basketball is back! Starting in March, the top college basketball teams entered the single elimination tournament, those games are spread throughout the country in multiple regional locations. After that, the remaining 16 teams headed to four pre-selected cities to play the next couple rounds. This year the top teams battle it out to see who will advance to the Final Four. The madness starts at the University of Dayton Arena with the First Four, which is your opportunity to watch scrappy bubble teams fight their way into the tournament. Next up are the 2 busiest days in college basketball, with 16 top-tier, high-energy games spread out over 4 venues—Grab a First Round All Sessions Pass to catch 4 thrilling games in a single day. The same venues host Round 2, which promises to ratchet up the buzzer-beating action.
The UCLA Bruins have won the championship 11 times. They won it ten times with legendary coach John Wooden. Not far behind are the Kentucky Wildcats who've won it eight times.
March Madness began in 1939. It was originally known as the National Invitation Tournament, commonly referred to as the NIT. It would pit the University of Oregon against Ohio State.
