With more than 2,200 wins, the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team is one of the top 3 most successful college programs of all time. As part of the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Chapel Hill-based team has won 31 regular season championships and 18 ACC Tournament titles. The Heels boast 48 NCAA Tournament appearances and 6 national championships—not to mention players that went on to be some of the greatest in the NBA, including Michael Jordan, James Worthy, and Billy Cunningham. Whether you’re looking to cheer on this legendary team during a home game at the Dean Dome or watch them battle it out once again through the NCAA Basketball Tournament, there are budget-friendly tickets for all Tar Heels fans.
Head Coach Roy Williams has been leading the team since 2003, taking UNC to 13 of the last 14 NCAA Tournaments and winning the title in 2017. With a roster that includes veteran superstar Joel Berry and newcomers like impressively smooth Garrison Brooks and hoop-seeking Brandon Huffman, the team has been thrilling fans with all the baseline-to-baseline action. It’s a new time for the Heels after losing 6 scholarship players to graduation or the NBA, but this year’s freshmen may just be strong enough to help push the pack on the court. Can Williams and the Tar Heels repeat their victory at last year’s NCAA Tournament, or will a rival like Duke win the Big Dance? Don’t wait to grab your tickets to find out.
