The Tampa Bay Lighting are burning up the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference on their way to another NHL Playoffs appearance. With the Stanley Cup in their sights, the Bolts are ready to pump up the fans at Amalie Arena with stellar pucksmanship, goaltending, and scoring. Whether you’re a local or someone visiting Tampa, there’s nothing quite like cooling off inside the arena on a warm Florida day. Pick up your Lightning ticket right now before the team brings home the title.
The Lightning sparked into existence in 1992 when famed NHL hall-of-famers Phil and Tony Esposito teamed with some foreign business leaders to bring hockey to Tampa Bay. The team’s early years saw a mix of success and struggles both on the ice and in the front office. At the turn of the century, the Lightning made a series of roster moves that would change their fate. Vincent Lecavalier, Brad Richards, Martin St. Louis, Fredrik Modin, and Nikolai Khabibulin formed the core of the team that won the 2004 Stanley Cup. Since then, the team has been been rebuilt and made it to the Stanley Cup Finals a few years ago, losing out to the Chicago Blackhawks.
The 2022–23 Tampa Bay Lightning season will be the 31st season for the NHL franchise that was established on December 16, 1991. They will enter the season as defending Eastern Conference champions. With Andrei Vasilevskiy in goal, the Lighting are primed for postseason success, so be sure to take part in one of Tampa’s best things to do with a ticket to see the Lightning play.
