It’s always a surefire way to catch some phenomenal athletics when you watch the Bruins play. With 22 varsity squads and more NCAA team championships than any school except for archrival Stanford, the University of California, Los Angeles can deliver enough touchdowns, rebounds, runs, and goals to thrill fans of whichever sport brought you out to the field. Pick up your tickets to a Bruins game for your chance to see one of the country’s most celebrated schools in action.
A powerhouse of the Pac-12 Conference since 1928, UCLA fields national contenders in almost every sport where it has a varsity program. The school has claimed 114 championships in the NCAA—including 11 each for softball, men’s basketball, and men’s water polo, 7 for women’s water polo, and 19 for men’s volleyball. The Bruins football team has won 17 bowl games, and play their home games in the iconic Rose Bowl itself.
Thanks to its decades-long tradition of athletic excellence, UCLA has attracted and produced some phenomenal talent. Future Major League Baseball and NBA stars like Troy Glaus and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar used to play at Jackie Robinson Stadium and Pauley Pavilion. And with Bruins sports still going strong, you stand a good chance of seeing one of the next legends when you come to watch the Blue and Gold play.
