Wynonna Judd (born May 30, 1964, in Ashland, Kentucky ) is one of the most powerful and recognizable voices in country music history. She first rose to fame in the 1980s as half of The Judds, the legendary mother‑daughter duo with her late mother Naomi Judd. Together, they became one of the most successful acts in country music, earning 14 No. 1 hits, five Grammy Awards, and widespread acclaim for songs like “Mama He’s Crazy,” “Why Not Me,” and “Grandpa (Tell Me ’Bout the Good Old Days).” After the duo disbanded in 1991 due to Naomi’s health, Wynonna launched a hugely successful solo career, scoring multiple No. 1 hits including “She Is His Only Need,” “I Saw the Light,” and “No One Else on Earth.” She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022 as a member of The Judds.
In 2026, Wynonna Judd is co‑headlining the “Raised On Radio Tour” alongside Melissa Etheridge, a 27‑date U.S. tour that runs from late June through August 2026.
