Nice treat from stewardess Claire on both flights
It was super frustrating to pay for baggage today. My bank card thar is also a mastercard would not be accepted...i needed to spend extra time and money at currency Exchange buying prepaid visa cards. I tried to avoid this by specifically putting money in actual bank yesterday and getting a card linked ti the mastercard. This could definitely be improved upon. The website ckearly says credit cards must be used... Other than that everything was great.
Lots of room in seat area but no tv screens
Crammed seats, not comfortable
Hi...the flight was great...staff all very friendly and helpful...only difficulty was to pay for luggage fees I could not use cash....this was a dilemma because I needed to go to currency exchange to purchase Visa cards.... the exact amount was not available and for two visa cards totalling $75 to pay $60 for luggage it cost me $89. The fees to purchase Visa cards are high and this was just lost money for me that I cannot claim as an expense because it was not previously confirmed in my travel arrangements. So I lost $14, had $15 remaining in Canadian funds that I didn't need and the added stress of running around doing this before check in for my flight. Then the self check in counter would not accept the payment! Apparently only one card can be used at the kiosk but no one said that when they sent me off to purchase them! The girl at the actual counter who checked me in was lovely. The flight staff was fabulous and I landed safely 40 minutes earlier than scheduled! I would love to fly WestJet again but this cashless system is difficult when I only have cash for business expenses. Also it occurs to me now that I paid cash for my bag when I flew to Toronto from PuntaCana a few weeks ago... without difficulty.
The coldest flight I have ever been on. Absolutely freezing!
Overall solid flight .
