Room was bit small but everything was good

Breakfast was fresh with many choices.

In this trip to India, I have been traveling all across India for work. I stayed in a few cities, during my travel I visited Kolkata twice and stayed in two different hotels. One thing I generally do is start my day with the breakfast like most of you, and this is where this hotel fell short. They have too many staff who when asked about say coffee will point you to the other direction and say please go there once you walk down there and say ask for toast they will point you to another corner etc. I probably had a good number of steps in during my breakfast that’s the only positive thing. So far in this trip to India I stayed in a few Taj, Hyatt and boutique hotels may be they spoilt me with their hospitality so if this review seems harsh, it just because of my other experiences. Specially at Taj Gurugram their chef came down and made me a special omelette himself and delivered to my table extra points to him for that :) And yes forgot to mention at Novotel their bar failed to provide a basic cocktail like old fashioned, they did not have the ingredients to make a whiskey based cocktail. So if you just need a room to crash and don’t care much about breakfast etc, Novotel will work for you.
