South Coast Cheap Vacations

This hotel was recommended to me by someone who stayed years ago. It has new owners. The hotel is beautiful. It has so much old school beauty. However, the staff does not speak English very well. It is very hard to get any information out of them. There are no elevators, which needs to be known. We took my husband’s parents and his dad needs a knee replacement and is scheduled for after our trip. There was no one to help with bags. We were out on the third floor, which is fine. But we were on a 14 day trip and had to carry every single bag up the stairs. When I say stairs I mean old school stairs that are straight up and very thin. It was a terrible stay for us. The available help was non existent. They weren’t helpful. They never offered any help even after watching my husband and I carry 40# bags up three flights of stairs. There are no walkable good food options. Also, the amount of t of homeless people in the area is kind of scary. We don’t live in a bubble so we are very familiar with homeless. We have no issues with them at all. But we are talking drug addicted homeless and there is no security,no help. I would never ever stay here again. It’s sad because the building has so much history.

Room and hotel felt very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel would not be great for someone that has difficulty with stairs, main entrance is up a flight of stairs and no elevators or ramp. Hotel is a bit away from the main part of town, we didn’t mind but it’s about 15 min walk to town.
