It doesnt get any better than this hotel. Absolutely beautiful. The staff was superb. Breakfast was fabulous. The room was magnificent. The view of lake Maggiorrre is so beautiful and peaceful. The landscaping is wonderfully designed and kept to perfection.

Beware when staying here. The AC in rooms is preset at 24 C with the ability to reduce the temp only by up to 3 C....netting out at 21C best case. Generally it did not work so our room was always about 23C, which for my family is too warm. Also the restaurant in evenings is absurdly overpriced and the food not great...they focus more on presentation than taste. The town is great so if you stay here walk to the village to eat.

Giving this a 3 because the air conditioner didn’t work and staff only gave us a bottle of cold water. This is an important issue during warmer times and it disturbed our sleep. Other than that, a fun hotel very walkable to the waterfront, station, Grand Piazza. Bus to Ascona is right outside and free with Ticino visitor card. Satisfying breakfast. A good Ibis hotel.
