Great location for walking to the city centre and First Direct Arena. We managed to park in one of the 6 car spaces adjacent to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room was as expected from seeing the photos online meaning we were very pleased with them both. The hotel bar was a lovely, quiet and well stocked for a night cap. We didn’t eat there as there were plenty of places to choose from within a very short walk.

Hotel was lovely and clean and looked beautiful inside and out. Food was good with plenty of choice at breakfast. All staff were lovely and really helpful and very pleasant. Bathroom in our room was massive and the shower had great pressure. I would say that the room for a superior room was on the small side and should really have bathrobes and slippers.

Paid for a suite , room itself was lovely and large , beautiful bathroom. When we arrived at the room in the afternoon all the bedroom curtains were closed , including the ones to the outdoor balcony. Once we opened them we realised why …… a massive building project , scaffolding etc literally metres away from our room , so much for the garden view . Room was looking a bit tired cosmetically but still lovely , house keeping must only clean from eye level down as when I got into bed the ceiling had the BIGGEST cobweb I had ever seen! Restaurant was lovely and was the bar area , staff were friendly and attentive . Food was delicious and plenty of choice on the menu . I would stay again but it’s disappointing the hotel didn’t make abundantly clear that some rooms were majorly impacted by the large scale building works . When I mentioned it to reception , a lack lustre sorry was the full extent of the sorry I got . I stayed in a suite so one of the more expensive rooms , a lot of money for a view of scaffolding and not the gardens.
