"Overall our stay went well, but our check-in was a mess. This reservation was prepaid (like dozens of others we’ve made with Expedia). For some reason the front desk agent gave us the hotel’s Expedia receipt he had created which showed the room a total of $63 USD cheaper. We should NEVER have been provided that information. It took some translation to figure out what he was trying to show us. Why, we’ll never know. The pool was great, the included breakfast in the open air sidewalk...

"Lovely property, very unique and very beautiful. The sounding area was walkable. Roughly a 20 minute walk to Montezuma waterfall where you can swim too. 5 min walk to beach. We arrived late and the staff waited around until 8:30. Great experiences throughout."

"This was a beautiful room and set up. Our room had a large bathroom/shower, the bedroom/kitchen set up were open like a studio. The back patio and pool area were amazing. "We enjoyed Havana Lodge very much. The staff are very helpful and kind. The Desayuno (breakfast) is fabulous and large every day. Pets are very welcome. The gorgeous, tranquil, beach is less than 5 minutes away. There are many lovely places to eat nearby. We didn't use them. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked and really nice kitchen. And the gas BBQ. The grounds are so tranquil and peaceful. We look forward to returning soon."

"I loved the room with the glass wall to a private view of the back yard/hillside. There was a kitchen and a private patio area. Staff was so helpful to navigate our way and to secure a ferry reservation after we left there. Loved the area. Just wasn’t aware how mountainous it is in Costa Rica. Takes getting used to drive up the crazy hills. Great location and food/restaurants was amazing!!! So fresh and good. "
