"My first option was to stay at Tahoe City's America Best Value Inn, as I usually do, but that place recently and permanently closed. This no-frill Pepper Tree Inn is also in need of renovation (old-style motel layout; slow elevator; some stains here and there; no breakfast; etc.), which is scheduled for later this year. Still a good value. "

"Great place, I will stay there again. I trave quite a bit. Very often I am frustrated by minor inconveniences such as not enough pillows or towels, no in room coffee or only enough pods/pack for 1 or 2 cups of regular coffee. Not the case here. Each of the two beds had 4 pillows, 6 pods of (Regular caffeinated) coffee, plenty of towels. Even had Wine glasses, cork puller and paper plates and plastic ware. I appreciate these extra amenities.
