"The hotel is wonderful, set in beautiful grounds, very close to an enormously long, albeit unguarded and not well-maintained beach. Convenient for trips to Taormina and Mount Etna, but set on a quiet and secluded area. The restaurant on site is nice, and the one across the road by the beach is great, with friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. "

"Beautiful hotel overlooking Etna . The food is great and with lots of choice . Brilliant for my wife who uses a wheelchair and the accessible room was really good . Difficult to find with the sat nav provided on the hirecar so beware of this . Use your mobile to find it . Has to be driven to as out of the way but what a view . "

"Good value for money - the hotel is in a great location for visiting Etna but is slightly too far up the hill to wonder into Zaffarena for dinner. Free and plentiful parking (in October). The room was clean, a decent size and balcony has an amazing view over the town towards the sea. There is a free minibar which is a nice feature, with lemonades and water to drink. "The staff is super nice, and it’s a good place to stay and access the town. Would have liked to have access to a heated pool! Rooms are pretty small but comfy bed, and liked the outdoor patio"

"It was our second stay at Hotel Romano House. The staff Roberta and Giocomo were very welcoming. We were upgraded to a larger room which was very appreciated. The breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful with a good variety of food."

"This hotel is outdated and overpriced without providing the basic amenities. We checked in around 8pm to a junior suit for 4 people. Once checked in realized, they have no tea and coffee facilities in room nor a iron. The hotel staff confirmed the basics are not included in the expensive apartment. I was shocked that they do not even provide glasses for drinks unless you request from the bar. If you need clothes ironed, you need to drag your clothes to reception and wait 30mins until they set...
