Red Roof Inn Stay

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Nice staff, clean and friendly
Cons: Pricing is a bit expensive for the size of your room. Should have better value.
Overall my experience was okay/pleasing. The only thing I was really upset about was how small the room was for the amount of money I paid to stay there. The room should have been bigger and had more space to get around.

You get what you pay for...should have paid less

Pros: I could check-in and check-out fast.
Cons: Don't allow staff to smoke right in front of the entrance. Fix the ceilings. Keep a better watch on people bringing pets into there rooms.
Location: Right next to a Bob Evans, shopping outlets, but I didn't have the best "vibe" about my surroundings while I was there, like a sketchy part of town.
Staff outside chain smoking as I was walking in. Apparently a lot of truckers stay there. I was put in a room on the end by the stairs, resulting in being woke up every time some patron clambered up them. Walls were paper thin and could hear everything. Apparently they allow pets? Someone above my room had a dog that kept dropping his toy on the floor and scratching at the floor. The rooms looked remodeled, however the ceilings were peeling away in places. I wish I would have stayed elsewhere...

Smoke free

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Staff Location Rates Outside areas are kept clean
Cons: Change the drapes. Put a BOX not a purse size package of tissues. TRAIN THE STAFF ON HOW TO MAKE A ROOM.
Location: Restaurants, retail stores, Highway
The hotel claims to be smoke free but when I entered the room it smelled of OLD cigarette smoke. I went to bed bath and beyond and had to buy candles and a spray. I started looking around and found that the curtains were the ones to blame. One day my room was not made. After I called the front desk someone was sent over to fix the room. Another day I dropped some water on the floor and dried it with the bath mat, the floor was filthy. I took pictures and showed them to the manager, she said that since they had changed the floors the new cleaning solutions made it difficult to keep them cleaned. I must say that ONE EMPLOYEES WAS GREAT AND CLEANED WELL KATRINA. THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT BUT I THINK THAT THE STAFF THEY USE. TO FIX THE ROOMS MUST BE TRAINED BETTER.

Not the place to find above and beyond

For what I paid I guess I should not have expected superior service. By the rules I guess nothing was wrong. But nothing was right either. Spend the extra 20 bucks and have breakfast and coffee in the morning.

Bad from the beginning

Posted Jul 28, 2014
My room was not ready when I arrived at 8 pm. Hotel manager did not even apologize. Key cards did not work properly for entire stay. Hotel manager knows room is prepaid and did not care about me as a guest. She preferred to sit outside and smoke.

Simple motel style hotel. One night layover. PILLOWS are impossible. Huge 'bricks' of foam rubber! I had to use a rolled up towel as a substitute...

OK for sleeping

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: Needs coffee pot and small fridge in room. A continental breakfast would be nice.
Location: Lots of shopping and eateries in the area.
One night stay is OK here - not a place you'd want to hang out for any longer. Bed was comfortable and room clean.
