“beautiful property”
It was a very nice hotel overall. I would recommend upgrading the room. The standard room has a tiny balcony without any chairs. Other than that, it was very nice.
“Aruba”
The hotel was great. The rooms are quite nice. The beach is 300 feet away, amazing views from the oceanfront rooms and food was great. I recommend this hotel.
“awesome as always at the riu”
Stayed dec 1-6 2011. Asked for room on 9th or 10th floor. Got 9th floor with huuuuge balcony looking at the ocean. Staff very friendly, area perfect, riu was great as always. Will def go back to aruba and stay at riu without a doubt.
“Best All Inclusive I've ever been to!!!”
This Hotel was amazing! This was the first time I have been to a Riu, and I had always heard great things about them. If I ever get the chance to stay at one again, I will in a heartbeat. The Service was incredible. The waiters, bartenders and all the staff are always happy! Tip or no tip they will always serve you. If you do tip them though you will get treated extra special. They will bring you fun shots or drinks when you don't even ask them. The food was amazing. The buffet had everything you could possibly want to eat. My Girlfriend and I went to all the restaurants but the Japanese one. There wasn't one bad thing at any restaurant. Once again, the service at the restaurants was top notch. Wine at all times with your meal, and something to eat for any appetite at all places. The Hotel is beautiful, and in prime location on the beach. Everything is spotless at all times and the staff makes you feel comfortable during your entire stay. Your minibar is replenished everyday and the maid comes in the morning to clean your room and then again in the evening to replenish any dirty towels. If I ever return to Aruba I will definitely stay at the Riu Palace again!
“o m a r”
GREAT HOTEL GREAT BEACH GREAT LOCATION GREAT EVERYTHING. ONLY 2 THINGS WRONG. 1ST YOU HAVE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS TO EAT AT THE RESTAURANTS DOWNSTAIRS , BUT HERES THE CATCH , YOU CAN ONLY MAKE THE RESERVATION IN THE MORNING BEFORE 10 OR NO FOOD FOR YOU. SECOND I GOT THE MOST EXPENSIVE ROOM, WITH A JACUZZI ON THE BALCONY , AND THIS WAS THE HARDEST BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON IN MY LIFE, TO SPEND THAT KIND OF MONEY AND HAVE SUCH AN AMAZING ROOM I COULDNT BELIVE THEY PUT A PIECE OF SHEET ROCK FOR PEOPLE TO SLEEP ON. OTHER THAN THAT YOU DONT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS HOTEL. BUT IF YOU LIKE COMFORTABLE BEDS THIS ISNT THE PLACE YOU WANT TO STAY LIKE I SAID I HAD THE MOST EXPENSIVE ROOM AND I SLEEPT ON WOOD FOR 5 NIGHTS
“Nice Beach...Hotel service poor”
Just got back...LOVED ARUBA. Definately will go back but will try a different hotel (the Marriott or Westin). The Rui is starting to look shabby. The rooms are ok ( not sure how clean they are) as my bed felt sandy every night (YuK). You only get sheets and a bed spread, a comforter would have been nice. The food is mediocre. Only 2 restaurants were good( Krystal and /Nautilaus). The drinks were watered down. The bar staff are really nice as are the restaurant workers. But the front desk staff are rude and don't care. Our toilet broke one night and it took the next day for a guy to show up holding a plunger...the toilet was leaking , and needing major fixing...a plunger would do nothing. The fountains were not functioning by the pool, they looked murky. And the worst is customer service. It was our anniversary and we wanted a champaine bottle and 2 glasses brought into our room (surprise from my hubby), and they wouldn't do it., even when we offered to pay them. And I have heard similar complaints from other guests. The entertainment was almost non existant. It was a ghost town by midnight. I have heard that all the RUI Hotels were nice and classy with 5 stars, that's why we picked this hotel...I give it a 3. All and all we didn't let the hotel ruin our time in Aruba. I definately recommend Baby beach snorkeling, and renting a jeep and seeing the island . That was amazing!! Thanks
“Best Hotel ever!!!!”
Everything you need is in here and with great quality, food, service, rooms, entertaiment, beach, drinks, everything can´t say anything bad of it. GO FOR IT!!!!!!
“Ready to go back!”
I enjoyed my stay at this resort. Teh staff was extremely helpful. There were a few problems but nothing to keep me from going back should i have the opportunity.
“I like to go there one more time”
II recommend this hotel for every one.
“My View”
On the outside, the hotel certainly seems spectacular in architecture. However, on the inside, you cannot help but feel that the hotel has seen better days. The colours schemes are drab and dark and the general maintenance conditions could and should be improved. The staff, for the most part are kind and courteous. Although during my stay I did have a couple of complaints, and felt that the management should have offered more attention to the nature of the complaint. The food served in the 3 hotel restaurants were of good quality and the main buffet room certainly catered for all. As far as an all inclusive hotel goes. You get what you pay for. But I would not personally stay at this hotel again.

Area:
Palm Beach, Aruba: The question on Palm Beach is this: lounge or live large? Theres a reason the major resorts and clubs are located near these calm waters. The beach is an ideal place to do absolutely nothing, with a cold drink in hand. Theres also swimming, golf, horseback riding, ATV rentals, and plenty of water sports.
