ROACH MOTEL There is a reason why this hotel is such a good deal. Pros: -Beach is great -Staff is friendly - Food (proteins) cooked fresh on-site Cons -Cockroach the size of a golf ball in the room -Cockroaches in the cracks of the hot table in the main buffet -Construction -Washrooms too small / narrow Honestly if we didn't see a cockroach in our room I would have probably given this place an easy 3.75 / 5. Good food options for kids and the service was decent. We were forced to checkout due to the lack of responsibility of the hotel and the cockroach in the buffet was a little too much for us. I get it - its the tropics, but with 2 kids having giant cockroaches running around the room at night and near food is kind of disgusting. Hotel was a pain to try and get refund for nights we checked out due to prepaying. Expedia was even less helpful. Ended up at the Ritz and it was beautiful. Overall I would say you get what you pay for at the Tamarijn. If your going for a cheap all-inclusive in Aruba this will probably be your best bet, but I would keep your luggage off the ground.

There is no room service. There are no swim up bars. The golf carts can take pretty long come to your room for transport, the resort is really spaced out with space shared with a bunch of timeshares so if you don’t take the golf carts it can be a pretty long walk. The beach on the Divi side is much nicer than the Tamarjin. If you can, stay at the Renaissance, we spent a day there and it’s much nicer. Tamarjin is super kid friendly if that’s what you’re looking but I will not be back.

From the moment you check in, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I have specific food requirements and the dining staff made me feel stress free and comfortable. Suggest that you book excursions and inclusive dining restaurants (not necessary for buffet) even before you arrive.

The beds are too small. Either make the rooms better with beds that are comfortable. The site stated when making a reservation that the room had 2 Queen Beds but in reality these were like Full Beds. When a Guest ask to see if there is a way to upgrade or improve the stay experience, think of “Unreasonably Hospitality”. Maybe someone was checking out, room came available, call the guest and provide options. There were 2 associates at Check In that seem to not care of my concerns and simply brushed it off as it is what it is. I would not recommend this location to a family or friend.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in Aruba at Tamarijn. We had a room that led directly to the sand area of the resort. Note - some rooms lead to a rocky area which means you have to walk just a short distance to get to the sandy part where you can swim. The employees were top notch. The service and food was excellent. I enjoyed being able to go to the sister resort (Divi) for dinner as well. Hands down, one of my most memorable vacations. Loved the resort!

We loved this property ! The staff were all very nice and friendly , the food was delicious and it was always very clean. They have shuttles that can pick you up from your room at your request at any time to take you around the resort. The beach is gorgeous and always been cared for by staff , cleaning any seaweed every morning . The drinks were delicious and not water down like at some all inclusives. We would stay here again!

One of the best resorts I've been to. The food options were great. The location was incredible. The service was exceptional at every interaction that I had in my week there. The beachfront suite was 6 steps from the water, spacious, and luxurious. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to have a great experience on their vacation.
