"Wildgoose Cottage was a fabulous, away from it all break. The only noise we heard was nature, cows, pheasant and lots of birds. We were lucky to see a deer with a fawn and boxing hares. This is a very relaxing place to stay but a good 45 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby either along the road or the Cleveland Way."

"Holly Cottage is a well equipped cottage, with everything you could need, in a very typical pretty Yorkshire village. "Rachael and Rory were perfect hosts and were always there to assist us. The icing on the cake was a delicious Yorkshire Brack cake waiting for us on our arrival and to top it all Rachael made us a cake half way through our visit. The accommodation was excellent. "Lovely apartment but needed a thorough clean. Walking bearfooted floors felt gritty and a little sticky. Wooden cabinets in kitchen and living area full of greasy fingerprints. Duvet had about a two inch bloody looking stain on it, brought it to their attention, it was returned later in the day in same condition. Sorry to complain but it really spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay. Nice staff."
