"This was our first time actually renting a property. Normally we stay in hotels. This property was exactly like it was described and the photos truly showed the property. The host was very responsive to all of our questions and even checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our stay. They also provided excellent selections for excursions and restaurants. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for peace and tranquility."

"We were in town for a wedding and are familiar with the area. This cottage was perfect. It's small, but clean, comfy beds, drinks in the fridge waiting for us (you don't see that alot) and a wonderful fire pit outside with plenty of wood for us to use. "On The Rocks provided the perfect quiet getaway for my fiancé and I! We didn’t mind the 30-45 minute drive out to Bar Harbor - there are so many fun stops along the way. The kayaks at the property are a plus, too! The house is very clean and had all the essentials."

"If you're going to Acadia, this is a great alternative from the overcrowded frenzy of Bar Harbor, or the overpriced chain hotels/motels around Mount Desert Island. Located just outside Southwest Harbor, this is a quieter corner of MDI with a little village that has a few stores and restaurants (most close at 8pm, so we didn't get to take much advantage).
