“Old man in breakfast room KGB?”
The hotel is located in a very nice area where most of the world embassy’s are located so it is mostly quite. My wife is Romanian and she use to live near by. The MGR at the front desk was helpful as well as the other staff and cleaning ladies. THE PROBLEM WAS DURING BREAKFAST. The old man who worked there just watched you taking food like he worked for the KGB or CIA. Was he counting the rolls? There was only 2-3 hot cocoa packs, why the limit? When I asked him for another one, he regrettably gave me another one and said it was the last. The breakfast is a buffet so why the limit? Plus every morning there was so much smoking from the other guests we could never enjoy our food or eat it all, so we had to bring it back up to the room each morning. No matter where you were sitting you smelled & had SMOKE in your face. Why a hotel would not have one side non-smoking is clueless to me. But why smoke when you eat anyway. I also found the music they played during breakfast so obnoxious and unpleasant (1950’s & 1960's blues) as they played the same old boring, depressing, irritating CD over and over again every morning, so I burned them a jazz CD of more relaxing focus on eating music and then after 5 nights we left to another place as we couldn't take it anymore.
