a beautiful part of the country

The room was good, the view of the beach was great, the breakfasts are pricey but excellent. Lovely well kept gardens. Staff attentive and accomodating. Parking is nearby, shops available for items you may need - and the town of Arta nearby is fabulous. Dont miss the Tues market. The large screen at El Patio restaurant is top rate for watching any major sports. Also the restauarant on the beach is a little gem.On the negative side, one of the bedside lights did not work on arrival, also some bedding for the pull-out was missing, the air con did not function properly in the main bedroom - all things that should have been checked by staff and not overlooked, especially for tired late arrivers, as we were. For some inexplicable reason, the room cleaning service does not come daily and does not wash any dishes left in the sink - a first for us, as we travel extensively and have never come across this idiosyncrasy. Also, the furniture in the hotel lobby could be improved - it deserves something more hip and modern, esp when the entrance is lovely.

nice resort away from everything

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: ambiance
Cons: bathrooms
Location: we went to the village market and took train to Soler
We arrived very late as our plane was delayed and the staff was super nice and accommodating. The room was very nice and plenty of space to move around. My only issue was that there was no vent in bathroom so when you took a shower everything got totally saturated and water all over floor. Great resort for kids. Although I don't have any, there were all sorts of activities and live shows for them. Food was okay, facilities were fine and location is somewhat remote

Great family friendly resort

Posted May 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
We visited this resort during mid May with our 8 year old daughter. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The pools were nice, even though they were a bit cold due to it being early in the season. The buffet was above average, and I was honestly surprised by the quality. We ate at the mexican restaurant and the food was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was comfortable as well. The best part about this resort is the staff for the kids club, these people went out of their way to make sure that our daughter and the others enjoyed the activities and shows. The staff is extremely friendly and almost all spoke English, German, and of course Spanish. The only thing I would warn some about this place is that there are ALOT of children there as it is a family themed place. If you do not enjoy kids I would look to their other resort next door that did not appear to have children. Overall, we plan on staying there again for our next holiday in Mallorca.

Eating Out

Beautiful location and an excellent clean beach. Accommodation clean and of a good standard. Hotel is on a Red Bus route with a regular service to Cala Rajada and links to other villages. There were a number of boarding options, all-inclusive to self catering. There two supermarkets next to the resort both well stocked and clean and competively priced. Downside, there are now only two local bars outside the resort limiting meal options if you want to try local food within walking distance of your hotel.

Bathroom was not set to my standards, but the Hotel responded immediately and changed rooms. Also got two meals for my family courtesy of the Hotel which was very nice from the staff.

Pros: views and facilities for children - play areas and kids pools especially.
Cons: length of transfer from airport. would arrange a direct option next time. ie. private instead if shared transfer
Location: ideal for families. close to the beach and plenty of short walks.
Ideal holiday package for a small family ar a quiet location with coastal walks, great views and excellent hotel facilities

Can't wait to go back

Posted May 9, 2011
It's an hour drive from the airport and beautiful Cap Formentor, 45min. drive from the can't be missed town of Alcudia. The hotel itself is pretty isolated but worth the drive. Cala Mesquida Beach is just a short walk from the hotel and there are a couple of grocery stores nearby. My kids loved the kiddie pool with a pirate ship and slides. There are also plenty of other pools for the grown ups and an indoor one for those colder days. I wish the outside pool was heated though as it was still pretty chilly when we went in April. We drove an hour away to see Es Trenc. When we got there, we turned and went back to Cala Mesquida beach which is sooo much better. The beds weren't too comfortable but ok. My kids also liked the nightly shows.
