Last minute stay due to wedding

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: It wasn't very crowded
Cons: see my writing about the experience
Location: Near the Lexington, The Aquarium, and Fajitaville, also near the beach
The staff was not very friendly and there were stains all in the bath tub. The crack under the door allowed a few visitors to come in. If you are planning to bum it at the beach then your good. If you are a couple with children or just a couple that wants a nice hotel to stay in then probably not. It said it was on the beach it is not. It is close but you have to walk a little ways. There is almost no parking as well. There was a plus- What-a-burger was only a block away.

Much better hotels in downtown Corpus

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Cons: The room décor, the bathroom fixtures, the rug, the cleanliness of the refrigerator and the bathtub.
Location: As above, more stores and restaurants across the bridge in downtown Corpus, this area is a low traffic area at night with no supermarkets nearby
The cleanliness and upkeep on these rooms was below standard. Room wise it is the same as many others but the rooms and the hotel itself is in a state of disrepair. You can tell that they don't invest in the upkeep of this hotel and it is in a stretch where the only attraction is the beach itself. You can do better by staying in downtown Corpus and there will also be more to do than in this area, which is not really a high traffic area at night.

Good price, close to the beach.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Close to the beach and town
Cons: The bathroom could be be better cleaned
Location: Good location. Close to alot of things, to the beach and museums
The room was clean. Staff nice. We decided not to use the tub, as it had a couple of hairs and a black line around the foot pad.

Don't stay here

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Sandy floor. No remote to tv. New tv had plastic wrap around it. Cups weren't in plastic wrap and one had a hair and a little dirt in it. 80 year old nut job Indian woman cleaning rooms babbling incoherently. Floor in bathroom was not clean. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The bed didn't even have a bottom fitted sheet clearly a king size sheet just tucked in. The place is run by Arabs. BOOM!

close to and view of the bay, not the gulf

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: comfy beds, nice linens, very close to nice beach: had tables, showers close by on beach
Cons: replace rotted boards inside and outside of hotel. Have staff explain breakfast bar when checking in.
Location: very close to the Battleship and Texas State aquarium.NOT impressed with local seafood , Pier 99, very old, smelly and food all fried
old hotel but linens were new and clean. In our room the only place you could tell of the age was the wood around the bathtub, looked rotten and painted over. Beds were very comfy and the a/c worked great. Breakfast buffet is stopped promptly at 9 am, they even take the coffee away???!!!

Close to the beach

Posted Aug 17, 2014
It's close to the beach and isn't to expensive. It's run down n ugly. The pool is smaller than it appears on the pics. No hot tub. Whataburger is the only close food. But we went for price and close to the beach. It served both purposes well. So while it's not pretty I'd probably stay there again

Horrible. ..

Posted Aug 14, 2014
It was hot the air conditioner wasn't working right it kept shutting off. I called the front desk they said just turn the temp up it was from the temperature difference. I said really do you have a fan cause I can't sleep like this it was hot outside and inside. They did nothing. ..........and it was dirty. The only good thing was the mattress was comfortable. They weren't very polite at breakfast I asked for some more sugar and milk for my coffee and they said breakfast was closing up....it was 15 minutes till...... we just left!

Terrible

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: The location was the only good thing about it.
Cons: Everything needs to be improved
Location: The beach is only about a block away.
We pretty much had issues as soon as we got to our room. The card key couldn't be read when swiped to let us in the room so I was on my way to the front desk to have it fixed. When I got to the elevator, the Manager was already on his way to another guests room to fix theirs because theirs wasn't working either. He ended up having to open our door with an actual key because he couldn't get the card to swipe- he said he would fix the card & bring it back up to us. Once we got into the room we thought seriously about checking back out of the hotel & going to stay somewhere else. There were flies in the room- the bathroom door wouldn't close, the beds squeeked and it was so small we could barely roll our suitcases between the bed & the little table & dresser that were in there. After a lengthy wait (about an hour) I called back down to the front desk to inquire about our card key and he asked if I could go pick it up from the front desk & I politely advised that he was supposed to have brought it to us over an hour ago. When he arrived at our door-he handed me 1 key for the door (not a card key) so we all had to stay together or someone had to stay behind in the room because we only had 1 key to use between all of us. The only good thing about this hotel was the location, it was about a block from the beach.

Everything about this Hotel is misleading.

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything.. the smell... the doors for the rooms. the pool could be cleaned. The rooms could be cleaned with bleach or disinfectant
First of all the hotel is not on the beach.. The beach is about 2 blocks over. So I wouldn't waste money trying to be right on the beach because you are not. Okay.... well the hotel lobby stinks. The doors to the rooms are very hard to open/close. You have to slam your whole body against the door to be able to lock the deadbolt. The bathroom toilet handle was just hanging there. The window mounted AC units drip water out of every room. They only give 2 towels and are very skiddish if you ask for more. The pool is gross and does not have a filter or pump.. and you can tell they do not clean it. The breakfast is very unorganized and you cannot find anything (not much to pick from anyway) like milk to go with the cereal. The room itself was not very clean and we ended up leaving early as everything was just uncomfortable and kind of gross. Our next trip will be to a hotel further from the beach as these ones were very disappointing. Save your money on beach front hotel and get one further away that will be clean and comfortable...
